CARVE SIGN SUNNY GARCIA

International eyewear & clothing brand CARVE sign sponsorship deal with Sunny Garcia.
The Australian based company has been working hard to launch the brand into an ever growing global market place and building a team to compliment it’s passion for action sports.

“We are stoked to have Sunny on the team, he is a true icon of the sport”. Matt Whyte (owner of Carve).

Sunny’s results speak for them self, he is a 6 times triple crown winner and the 2000 ASP world champion. He is know for his powerful style in and out of the water, a true force to be reckoned with.

Sunny is a marquee signing for the Carve team, adding to the rock solid signing of Adam Robertson early in 2011 and the already 50 strong team in Australia. With team riders in Europe and many of the other Carve territories covering all aspects of action sports, Carve have built their brand supporting the industry they love.

Team manager Trent Munro is excited about the signing, saying that having Sunny as part of the team will defiantly open some doors for the brand across the island chain as well as mainland.

Sunny is looking forward to getting things started with Carve and launching the brand onto the world stage, with plans to launch the brand at the Pipe masters in Hawaii later this week.

CLAY MARZO LAUNCHES INTO CARVE
Clay Marzo announced today that he is teaming up with international eyewear brand CARVE.

Clay is the latest marquee signing for the brand and he joins some of surfing’s most respected riders, Sunny Garcia, Trent Munro, Adam Robertson and Josh Loya.
Heading up the deal was Carve USA Inc’s Brandon Deary.
“We are ecstatic about having Clay on the team, he is a modern icon of the sport”. Said Jason Neu-CEO Carve USA Inc..
The Maui local is set for big things in 2012, firstly competing on the WQS series starting in Australia February/March, also travelling the globe for video parts & free surfing in some of the most exotic spots around the world.
Clay is super excited about joining the Carve team, “I’m stoked to be working with Carve and look forward to helping them build their brand”, said Clay. “I’ve seen their product in Oz and wondered about them, and now I am stoked to be a part of their team as they launch into Hawaii and North America.
”With a signature model set to be released in the near future, Clay will cement his place on the Carve team for now and into the future.“I’m psyched to be working closely with the designers and artists at CARVE to make a killer signature model”, said Clay.

NSW JUNIOR SURFING TITLES

The Ocean & Earth NSW Junior Surfing Titles saw a fitting end to five outstanding days of competition at Boomerang Beach.

Culminating with the 14 years finals the 2010 edition of the Ocean & Earth NSW Junior Surfing Titles will be remembered as one of the most memorable yet, as six new champions were awarded with one of the most prestigious trophies in surfing.

Illuminated by amazing surfing performances, pumping waves and pristine conditions, the event had it all.

Today, however, saw Jeames Young (Yamba, NSW) dominate the under 14 boys division.

Negotiating the dwindling swell, Young outpointed Jackson Baker (Merewether, NSW), Jarrod Szele (Warilla, NSW) and Kipp Caddy (Ulladulla, NSW), who finished second, third and fourth consecutively.

Winning his first ever Ocean & Earth NSW Junior Surfing Title, Young was ecstatic to take home the prestigious trophy.

“I’m stoked,” he said.

“I knew that all the guys could get any score, at any time, so I was really nervous up until the end.”

In the corresponding girls division it was Holly-Sue Coffey (Crescent Head, NSW) who outshine her rivals.

Racking up an impressive 10.00 (out of a possible 20), Coffey was a well deserved winner, having been the standout competitor all week.

Defeating, nine-year-old, Alyssa Lock (Tweed Heads, NSW), Holly Wawn (Newport, NSW) and Tess Mawson (Manyana, NSW), who finished second, third and fourth consecutively, Coffey continued the rich vein of form within the family.

“It was a hard final,” she said humbly.

“All the girls were ripping so to win it is amazing.”

With the completion of the Ocean & Earth NSW Junior Surfing Titles, and the finalising of Team NSW, all focus now turns to the Arnette Australian Junior Titles which will be held in Phillip Island later this year.

Comprising of some of the world’s best juniors, Team NSW will again be well placed to shine against the other states. Having taken the team trophy for the last six years, Team NSW is looking strong.
